Shipping & Returns
Orders are processed and shipped within 1-2 business day after receipt of payment. Provided there are no hold ups due to out of stock items or address issues. (Refer: Shipping In Hot Weather).
SHIPPING IN HOT WEATHER
What you should know:
Please be very mindful when ordering Chocolate in warmer months.
Although Ice Packs and bubble wrap are used with all items that may melt, we cannot guarantee that items will not melt during transit on hot days.
Please note that refunds or replacements will not be given due to melted items. If you are not willing to accept this risk, please avoid ordering the chocolate products during the summer months.
What you can do to avoid melting:
Make sure someone is around to receive the shipment, so it does not sit outside in the sun.
Check the temperature in your area before ordering.
Place orders at the beginning of the week so they do not sit in the depot over the weekend.
What we do to avoid melting:
Any orders placed from Thursday 12pm will be sent Monday. If we send your order off on Friday, it may sit in the depot or courier van over the weekend and the risk of melting is quite high.
We use Ice Packs in every order that has Chocolate or Lollies prone to melting. Please understand that the Ice Packs are only good for 24 hours (unless a 40-degree day).
SHIPPING, HANDLING AND POSTAGE FEES
Shipping Fees include handling and packaging fees as well as the postage cost.
Postage Costs are based on the post code the parcel is sent to and the weight of the entire parcel.
These fees and costs will be calculated at the point of Checkout.
STORE PICK UP
You are welcome to collect your orders from Select Sweets, 1043 Mt Alexander Road, Essendon North, Victoria 3040.
Select local pickup at the checkout. Let us know when you would like to collect them.
PayPal or Pay On Pick Up at our store.
The estimated delivery time with Australia Express Post is as follows:
Victoria: 1-3 business days
Rest of Australia: 3-10 business days
Occasionally an order may take extra time to arrive which is out of our control.
Therefore Select Sweets is not responsible for delays once the parcel is shipped.
All parcels sent within Australia via Australia Express Post. Once your parcel has been sent you will receive an email confirming shipping, with the tracking number.
If you are having any issues with your tracking number, or if your parcel has not arrived within the specified time please contact us and we can follow up the tracking information for you. please contact us on 03 9379 8779.
You can check whether you would like your parcel to be left unattended at checkout. The default selection is for a signature to be required upon delivery. If you select the parcel to be left unattended, please be aware that we cannot refund the items if you lose the parcel once delivered or if the items inside are damaged in any way. Please be aware of this before ordering.
Any purchases/shipments that contain alcohol can only be delivered to another adult. Please ensure that the recipient is aged over 18 years and is available to receive the delivery.
If you supply a Wrong Address, once the parcel has been shipped, Select Sweets is not liable to provide a refund or redirect the parcel.
We are unable to accept returns of any food items purchased unless there is a defect or problem with the product. If you think a product has a defect or problem, please contact us on 03 9379 8779
AVAILABILITY OF STOCK
While we endeavour to keep the products listed up to date, occasionally we may run out of an item, or be waiting on stock to arrive from a supplier. We apologise if this occurs, we will contact you to offer the choice of an alternative item or a refund. If we are unable to contact you within 24 hours, we will refund this item so we can send the balance of the goods as soon as possible.
BEST BEFORE DATES
Best before dates on some imported items from American, Canadian, and Japanese show month first (eg 12/04/YY means December 4th)
Cancellation of orders incurs a $25.00 administrative fee. Money will be refunded less this fee.
Orders that are already prepared, dispatched or in transit cannot be cancelled or refunded.
A cancellation notice must be placed in email to firstname.lastname@example.org
